His novel Loyalty is the inspiration of our film, and his vast knowledge of the era brings the film’s historical accuracy, authenticity, and truth. Matthew is a presenter for History Hit and host of the acclaimed Gone Medieval podcast, making him one of the UK’s leading public voices on medieval history.

Thomas Dennis is a distinguished stage and screen actor with a deep dedication in bringing historical relevancy and realness to his roles. Starring as Richard III and directing, Thomas has captained this project with Matthew Lewis from idea to full proof of concept. From meeting each individual reenactor, to networking with medieval historians and having a connection with Richard III’s story after being involved in A Voice for Richard, Thomas has submerged himself in every area of Richard III’s life experience and how to best translate that for the screen.
